Why Post Post-racial?

During his farewell speech as president, Barack Obama said “After my election, there was talk of a post-racial America. Such a vision, however well-intended, was never realistic. Race remains a potent and often divisive force in our society.”   This is the blog for Race and the Law, a seminar offered at Santa Clara University School of Law. Throughout the semester the students and Professor Armstrong will offer reflections on race and the reality of life in the USA under a presidential administration in which racial controversies openly and thrive and often dominate social and political discourse.
